mount did not stay tilted down. one of the primary things i liked was the 20 degree tilt, but it does not stay in this position

I bought this product solely because a friend of mine had bought it and was very pleased with it. When I opened the box, I was very pleased to see the large variety of fasteners included in the package. The small magnetic spirit level was also a nice touch. The quality of materials used in the product is very satisfying (mostly all metal, very little plastic) and the exact tolerances achieved make this product very pleasing to use. There's no annoying free play in the hinges and everything moves butter smooth and with minimal effort. If there's anything I would criticize, it's the AR-powered app which is meant to facilitate the positioning of the first drill hole. The AR side of the app barely works as it struggles to identify the provided printed pattern on the wall, especially when standing at a reasonable distance from the wall. Even if it does identify it, it tends to think it's at an angle and thus the imposed TV is not flat with the wall, which makes the whole positioning of the drill hole sketchy. In the end I opted to go for manual measurements and that turned out great. All in all though, I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who occasionally needs to reorient the TV for a different viewing angle and is looking for a high quality sleek mount. In our case it is very handy that the mechanism allows us to pull the TV quite a distance away from the wall, because otherwise if we wanted to watch TV while sitting at the dining table, our large fireplace would conceal part of the screen.

NOTE: This review refers to the English instructions. The overall build and operational quality of the bracket is good. The installation instructions need attention and safety warnings: 1: Screw the strips: There are many different screws marked G. It does not make it clear that you need to select the correct ones for your TV. Also nowhere does it tell you to check the TV instructions regarding wall mounting - I have a 45" Samsung and it is important that the plastic inserts are fitted prior to fitting the bracket! "Screw the strips C onto the TV, Position as close as possible to the middle of the screen - makes no sense at all, there are existing locations on the back of the TV that must be used! 3.1: Tighten bolts: These are screws, NOT bolts. 6: Screw the wall mount onto the wall: This requires 4 screws in total. At the top of the bracket 2 screws are used. It is impossible to screw home the lower of these two screws because the head of the screw is obstructed the vertical retaining nut of the actual bracket which prevents the wall screw being accessible to either a socket spanner or a normal spanner. I had to remove the vertical bracket nut and then replace it after driving home the wall screw [this was in fact also somewhat difficult to replace]. 7: Remove the upper bolt and loosen the lower bolt. These are screws and NOT bolts. It is impossible to get the top screw back into the hole. The cover would be better designed to have locating slots both top and bottom. NOTE: I have ticked Yes to recommending the product as it does the job and in itself is of good quality, however it would be with a strong caveat regarding the instructions.
