It has been 2 weeks since I am actively using this product. My initial first impression, from receiving the TV, until I fully set it up and used it, was exceptional! They clearly put time and effort in R&D to this specific KD-55X85L model. Compared to my previous KD-49XF9005 model, there are various improvements in the device. First of all, I would like to start with the positive impressions: - Stunning, sharp and rich picture quality in every scenario! It's a joy to watch TV shows, movies or play my Playstation 5 on this TV. I feel completely immersed in the content, which I am watching on the TV. True to life colors, with a huge range of advanced picture customisation. This is one of the strength for the TV in my opinion, that you can use advanced built in software as well, to calibrate a perfect picture quality for your preference. However, the standard, out of the box picture modes are also perfectly fine for everyday usage. - Sound quality of the TV is surprisingly good. They did not implement this model with under the screen speakers, however, the traditional under TV speakers are still providing a rich, and wide spectrum audio experience. I don't feel the need for an additional sound bar or HI-FI system. It might lack the bass of a high end, dedicated home cinema system, however they used very clever technology, to make you feel like you are listening to your content on a home cinema setup: clear surround technology is in place! - Build quality of the TV is very premium in my opinion, even though I believe, this is a strong mid-range TV. Modern, stylish design, which can be a nice decorative element of your home. Thanks to the built in software, called Living Decor, you can use your TV as a painting or picture on the wall, accompanied with ambient music. Sometimes, I like to use this software on it's own, and just relax after a work day. Great initiative! - Two remote controls included with the TV: I think this is a great option from the manufacturer to include a traditional and a "Smart TV" remote control, later one using bluetooth connection to communicate with your TV. With this approach, based on your use case, you can either use the TV, as a traditional, non smart TV, or you can experience the full smart TV, thanks to the bluetooth remote controller. - Plenty of accessories, screws etc. included by default with the purchase of this TV, so I found it easy to mount it on the wall or any other TV holding solution. - Great amount of input ports, 4K, 120HZ refresh rate and VRR: these options makes my Playstation 5 gaming experience truly stunning. This TV is a perfect companion for modern generation gaming consoles. Now, I would like to highlight some negative points with this TV: - Operating System: The manufacturer decided to use Google TV as their main operating system on the TV. It is based on Android, which gives a great amount of customization options for your liking. However I find the current implementation of this OS a bit too disturbing. It's not the manufacturers fault, but unfortunately Google has included tons of advertisements in this operating system: Half of the home screen, when you turn on the TV, is filled with AD's (TV shows, movies etc.). I find this disturbing, and it's using unnecessary resources on the TV. However, I can safely say, the processing power is more than enough of this TV, to have a lag and stutter free experience, while you navigate the TV, despite the bloated Google TV OS. I would have welcomed an XMB style OS, based on Android, but customized by the manufacturer, so it would better match their product lines (like Playstations for example), and it would be a more integrated experience in my opinion. You can still change the default Google Android TV launcher to a custom one, if you really want to. Other than the above, I couldn't find any more negative points with this TV. Overall, it's perfectly serving my intended usage, and I am very happy with this device, and I can safely recommend it to others, who are interested in watching movies, tv shows and using smart TV services, to stream their favorite content. Gamer orientated users, also wouldn't be disappointed with the performance of this device. Great value for the money in my opinion!

I am so impressed with this Smart TV from Sony. There are so many new and thoughtful design features to enhance the viewing experience which is way beyond my expectations. One in particular that I really like is the fact that the TV assesses the light level in the room and adjusts the picture brightness to suit the room which iWork's well in our bright room. I really cant fault the picture quality and the sound quality is pretty good too. Apparently Sony have built in new speakers so there is really no need for a sound bar. Overall I'm very happy with this TV and would buy another Sony for our other room, when I see just how far advanced it is compared to my other TV.

First time owning a Sony tv absolute quality. have for around 2 weeks and still finding more and more features so easy to set up step by step guidance come with tv remote and one for just the apps which is so easy to navigate loads and loads of apps allready on and loads more to get. picture quality is amazing it is so clear and no lagging in action scenes cristal clear all the time.come with x2 setting for the feet so don't have to go out and buy an extra long tv cabinet. over all this tv is amazing very very happy with it
