    Variety of streaming features
    The Blu-ray Player included an excellent range of applications for you to stream from. My personal favorite was Amazon Instant Video, but it also comes with International News channels for the linguists. The streaming quality is average depending on the service you are using though. My only downfall with it is the time it takes after launch to completely connect to a network, before you can access any applications, and occassionally having to go through a quick internet setup again. Despite this the product is very useful and a good buy.

    Great Design
    This was a replacement for another Sony Blu-Ray player and the new design is much improved as is the layout of the screens, the functionality is more user friendly, so much so that my 4 year old can navigate to where he wants to be.

    Faster
    I purchased the s5500 to replace the s350 (which still works as good as the day I bought it), that I have owned for a number of years. I am extremely happy with this product. It's footprint is 50% less than the S350, it loads 3 times faster and the picture I get on my TV is up scaled. The picture is clearer and the colours more vibrant. It has Wi-Fi and a dedicated Netflix button on the remote. I don't have a 3D TV so have not used this function or any of the apps. I would have preferred the USB slot at the rear of the unit rather than the front.
