This iron is both great value and a top performer. Whilst it is not the cheapest in the current Philips range, it's well worth the little extra. In fact it's saved me loads of roning time, because it makes light work of everything. The sole plate is so smooth it simply glides effortlessley over clothing as well as harder to iron Egyptian cotton duvet covers. Any creases are simply smoothed away, even stubborn ones where loads of effort is usually required. The iron emits a jet of steam whenever needed without even having to press a button. And on the higher settings you can add an extra shot if needed, but it rarely is. Ergonomically the iron is easy to hold and it doesn't make my hand or arm ache, and it's also easy to fill and declac. It's a very stylish iron too. In summary this iron is worth the money and for me it's the best I've ever owned. Well done Philips!!

Agree with many of the other reviews - the cord is way too short - thought i had a knot in it at first. Apart from that a good iron. Replaced an existing azur that suddenly stopped working. Have used it too much to return but the cable is very restrictive. Have given design 4 stars as the iron itself is excellent - just the cord lets it down

Although a good iron it should never have seen the light iof day with such a short lead. It means one needs an extension cable and that causes more hassle. Kept as a spare.
