Mario Kart World for Nintendo Switch 2 takes racing beyond individual courses and out onto a connected map. Drive through grassy plains, cities, open water and volcanic landscapes as you travel between races with Mario and friends. The wider setting gives each competition a sense of movement, while the familiar rush of overtaking rivals remains at the centre of play.

In Grand Prix, you compete for points across four connected courses, with up to 24 drivers fighting for position. Knockout Tour puts a different kind of pressure on every stretch of road: reach each checkpoint without placing high enough and you’re out. Mario Kart World also makes room for the people beside you. Up to four players can race on one console, using button or motion controls. You can pair a Joy-Con 2 controller with the optional wheel accessory for a steering-style setup, or connect compatible Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers wirelessly. Online play adds another way to race with friends, while GameChat lets you talk and share your screen as you play. Online features, including GameChat, require a Nintendo Switch Online membership; video chat needs a compatible USB-C camera sold separately.
